Recycling of tantalum scrap (Ta Scrap) and tantalum alloy scrap (Ta Alloy Scrap) is very important in the U.S. since there are no high-grade tantalum ores in the U.S. On average about 20% of the tantalum used in the U.S. comes from the recycling of tantalum scrap and tantalum alloy scrap.
